Are They Trying to Reach You? Signs From Loved Ones in Spirit

Many people wonder if their loved ones in spirit are trying to reach them. The answer, more often than not, is yes — we just don’t always recognize the signs.

Spirit communicates differently than we do in the physical world. They no longer use words or voices in the same way (although they absolutely do for those that can hear them). Instead, they often communicate through energy, emotion, and symbols. Love is their language.

Some of the most common signs include hearing meaningful songs on the radio, seeing repeating numbers (like 11:11 or 2:22), having sudden thoughts of them that seem to come out of nowhere, finding feathers or coins, noticing birds or animals behaving unusually, or feeling a wave of warmth, love, or goosebumps for no clear reason.

You may also notice signs in more subtle ways — a familiar scent like their perfume, cologne, or cigarettes, lights flickering, electronics acting up, vivid or comforting dreams of them, or catching a glimpse of someone who looks just like them out of the corner of your eye.

One of the most important things to remember is that this is a two-way connection. You can ask for signs. Simply sending a thought, a question, or a quiet intention is enough. Spirit hears you through energy and emotion, not volume or effort.

Signs tend to come through most easily when you’re relaxed, open, and not forcing the connection. When we beg, strain, or stress, we often block the very awareness we’re trying to access. The first feeling you get is usually the true message — before your mind steps in with doubt.

Thoughts like “I’m just imagining this,” “I’m not intuitive enough,” or “I can’t feel them” can weaken your ability to notice signs. Your thoughts are powerful. They either strengthen your connection or disconnect you from it.

Your loved ones never leave you. They simply change form. They are still around you, still aware of you, and still wanting to connect.

A true sign is anything that makes you think of them and fills you with a sense of love, peace, or recognition. When you feel that, trust it. The more you trust the signs, the stronger and clearer your connection becomes.
